Why Earn a DNP?
Every nurse is dedicated to attentive, thorough patient care. A doctorate in nursing
provides deeper insights into the healthcare system and gives you the tools to lead
others.
Why Earn a DNP from SUNY Downstate?
Quality of care shouldn't depend on where you live, or what you earn. All too often,
though, it does. As a student in Downstate's Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program,
you'll explore the factors that affect health care across individuals and communities.
And what can be done to narrow the gap.
This hybrid program mixes online course work with monthly, face-to-face seminars.
At Downstate, Brooklyn's only academic health center, you'll build an intimate knowledge
of the health care system by collaborating with physicians, researchers and others.
Together, you'll use data to improve patient care and build new care routines.
