New Public Health Academic Building

This project is in construction, and is 80% complete.

Downstate's new Public Health/Academic Building will house the School of Public Health, open-plan research laboratories, a state-of-the-art clinical simulation center, and multi-function spaces designed to accommodate team-based learning. Situated between the Basic Sciences Building (BSB) and Clarkson Avenue, the new building's entrance plaza will open into an expansive lobby serving both buildings.


Where are we today:

On-going building exterior work and proceeding with site restoration along New York Avenue and directly in front of the NAB along Clarkson. The Contractor continues to work on the Grand Staircase leading up to the 2nd floor from the 1st floor Lobby.
