Patient TV and Telephone Rental Service: Instructions and Rates

Patient TV & Telephone Rentals are provided through TVR Communications, Inc. under a contract with the Faculty Student Association of Downstate Medical Center Inc. (FSA= Downstate's campus auxiliary service corporation).

24 Hour Customer Service: Call Ext 2209 to activate service or resolve any patient TV or Telephone customer service issue. Call gets forwarded to TVR Communication's 24 hour call center. There are several payment options including: check to the inhouse TVR representative who will visit your bedside, and major credit cards when you call Ext 2209.

Current Rates are:

Telephone Rental: $5. per day

Television Rental: $5. per day

Patient and Staff Education Channel programming: Direct inquiries to the UHB Institute for Continuous Learning (ICL) at Ext 2983 (718-270-2983) or eMail the ICL Director.
