When selecting a program for post-graduate training, I tried to find a learning environment that would challenge me to grow and allow me to establish a firm foundation in my areas of interest. I'm glad to say that my experience with the residency program here at SUNY Downstate Medical Center has met that goal and provided even more, through a culture that places high value in patient care and interdisciplinary collaboration. I am still met with the same welcoming atmosphere on day 100 that greeted me on day 1, even as the expectations for my performance rises. When I'm not working up patients or completing residency projects, I can be found exploring new restaurants, playing the drums, and being active in my church congregation.

My interest in pursuing a pharmacy residency within SUNY Downstate Medical Center stemmed from the learning opportunities I witnessed firsthand as a pharmacy student. The academic environment, along with the knowledgeable preceptors, allows for numerous opportunities for me to advance my clinical skills as a pharmacist. SUNY Downstate Medical Center offers interdisciplinary training that will broaden my professional growth as a pharmacist. On my spare time I enjoy spending time with loved ones, listening to music and catching up with sports.
