About Faculty Development
SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and the College of Medicine are strongly
committed to engaging and empowering our faculty to optimize their development in
their roles as educators, scholars and investigators. Our faculty development programs
are centered on enhancing their skillset specific to health professions education,
teaching, learning, assessment, leadership, research, career development, and scholarship
activities. We offer an array of learning formats including workshops, seminars, campus-wide
events and external opportunities. These professional development opportunities are
aimed at equipping our physician leaders with the skills needed to lead the current
and future healthcare delivery systems.
