Adolescent Medicine Fellowship
The Adolescent Medicine Program at State University at Brooklyn is approved by ACGME and involves clinical, academic and research training.
Clinical experiences are tailored to expose the trainee to adolescents in a variety of medical and health related experiences - hospital based, HIV high risk clinics, school based/university based clinics, incarcerated youth, general adolescent and reproductive/STD clinics.
The Academic Program includes didactic teaching conferences on a weekly basis, formal Fellow lectures, hospital wide conferences, research conferences and Journal Club.
Research is mentored thru a committee approach and projects draw upon the rich clinical materials of the Division. Research training occupies 12 months of the 36 month rotation. All fellows have an opportunity to attend major national scientific meetings during their fellowship. Also, Fellows can enroll in the Masters in Public Health program at the School of Public Health here at SUNY Downstate.
The program welcomes applicant from pediatrics (3 yrs).
